Platinum-selling group, Sister Hazel, will be bringing their energetic show featuring new music and chart-topping hits to play The MILL Amphitheater in Villa Rica, GA on Saturday, June 12. The Douglasville Police Department is working in conjunction with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to distribute food to households in need. This “free food drive thru” is on a first come, first serve basis while the food lasts. It is our goal to make this fast and easy. The line will be directed through the back of the police department. As vehicles enter for the distribution, they will line up and meet with a volunteer who will be asking reference households and then the vehicle will continue through the line where the food will be placed into the vehicle. The food will be placed either in the trunk or backseat, no need for anyone to exit the vehicle.

Cast your line and see what you can catch at Hunter Park’s Lake during our annual Fishing Derby. Awards given for most weighted fish in each age group. Age groups 0-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-17, and adults 18+. Don’t forget to bring your own bait, tackle, and fishing rods. Raffle for various prizes throughout the event.

(No 4th Thursday meetings in November or December, nor on holidays). We speak on local issues and work together as one for the benefit of the community.
